The Office welcomes Heirs of Canada's juridic Crown who wish to take the Oath of Allegiance and serve as Sheriffs in their own regional jurisdictions. Application is by written communication, followed by establishment of standing, jurisdictional designation, the Oath Ceremony, and formal public notice of the new Sheriff.

Le Bureau accueille les Héritiers de la Couronne juridique du Canada qui souhaitent prêter le Serment d’allégeance et servir comme shérifs dans leur propre juridiction régionale. La candidature se fait par communication écrite, suivie de l’établissement de la qualité pour agir, de la désignation juridictionnelle, de la Cérémonie du serment et de l’avis public formel du nouveau shérif.

• Is willing to stand in full personal liability at common law — under no statutory shield, no limited-liability intermediation.Est disposée à assumer la pleine responsabilité personnelle en common law — sans bouclier législatif, sans intermédiation à responsabilité limitée.
• Is willing to take the Oath of Allegiance prescribed by the Fifth Schedule to the Constitution Act, 1867.Est disposée à prêter le Serment d’allégeance prescrit par la cinquième annexe de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867.

The Application Process

3. Jurisdictional Designation. Confirmation of the specific region the applicant wishes to serve.Désignation juridictionnelle. Confirmation de la région précise dans laquelle le candidat souhaite servir.
4. The Oath Ceremony. Taking of the Oath of Allegiance, recorded in the common-law register.La Cérémonie du serment. Prestation du Serment d’allégeance, consignée au registre de common law.
